During the teen years and throughout college, many students often struggle with insecurities and feelings of inadequacies. They may experience periods where they not only struggle with who they are and how the world sees them, but also what type of person they want to become. More than any other time in their life, they wonder if they are good enough, charming enough, or attractive enough to meet others’ expectations. Smiling, laughing out loud without covering your mouth, and expressing one’s personality with confidence are so important to letting the world see the real you. So for many teens and young adults, a beautiful new smile can many times be the key to unlocking the beautiful expression of the person inside.
The doctors at the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry have worked with many teens to transform their self-conscious smiles with yellowed, misshapen, chipped, or undersized teeth into stunning beautiful smiles. The teen and college years can be the best seasons of life when the real person shines through. Just call us for a consult with you or your teen if you would like us to show you the possibilities.Organic dentistry is a new concept in contemporary dentistry, which has been pioneered by the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry for over a decade. Given the choice, many of us select organic food for our families because we believe it is healthier and better for our bodies. Organic means different things to different people, but this term usually means that the products that were grown or made with less artificial intervention, such as steroids, chemicals, or drugs. Its value is not limited to people, who prefer the organic products, as a base of their lifestyle, but also everyone, who would like to avoid exposure to potentially dangerous substances. Traditional dental procedures often involve potentially hazardous materials. By using organic materials, as a base of the procedures, we not only avoid some of the immediate dangers to your health caused by traditional dental procedures, but also preserving your overall health and wellbeing on a long run.
We are a mercury-free office. “Silver fillings” as they are sometimes called, are amalgam restorations, which consist of mercury, silver, tin, copper, and zinc. Mercury is a toxic metal, therefore we have not placed these type of restorations for many years. To remove these amalgam mercury fillings, we use a filtration system, which safely disposes of this hazardous material.
We minimize use of drugs. For a number of years, the ACCD has been a pioneer in the vision that we can help patients obtain the smiles that they want and overcome their fear of dentistry procedures while minimizing the use of drugs. Of course, we make nitrous oxide, relaxation, and pain medications available when needed, but our focus is on providing a large spectrum of other approaches to help patients relax while having dental work done. For example, our office is one of the few, and perhaps only office in the State to provide a full-time massage therapist for our patients. Far from being just a feel-good amenity, massage has been shown to have a positive effect on the immune system, reduce the anxiety related to stress in patients, and accelerate healing time. Long periods of stress lower the immune system and destroy white blood cells. Massage can help reduce the recovery time by re-stimulating the production of adrenaline and acetycholine, which are both necessary for maintaining a healthy immune system.
We provide organic relaxation alternatives. Through massage, we are able to minimize nervousness in patients and make them feel more comfortable in the dentist chair. Studies show that massage also releases endorphins and lowers heart rate and blood pressure. By utilizing massage therapy, we can provide a more organic and healthy way of sedation in patients, instead of using a lot of drugs. This is especially good for patients with existing health problems. We also provide relaxing aromatherapy with a hand and arm massage during procedures. Also free with service are foot, head and neck massages. It is extremely important that our patients feel relaxed and comfortable while in our office. So now you know, organic food and organic dentistry help your whole body!

Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Dentistry. We employ a holistic approach to patient care that explores the smile defects and aesthetic desires of a patient and recommend treatment where possible that includes minimal intervention options in diagnosis and treatment technology by considering the psychology, health, function and aesthetics of the patient. We want to address the patient’s smile defects and aesthetics desires at an early stage in order to minimize invasive treatments in the future. We strive to perform smile designs with consideration of the psychology, health, function and aesthetics of the patient. We seek to select treatment procedures for the preservation of healthy oral tissues.
